The YCA selects its 80 participants from high school-aged students who have auditioned live or by recording. It is recommended that singers in the vicinity of audition sites schedule a live audition. Students accepted into the Youth Choral Academy are expected to be participants in their school music program.

Your audition is the first big step to your YCA experience.

Auditions are open through March 12, 2004. Students are expected to demonstrate their abilities by singing several exercises and a movement from one of the works to be performed by the YCA.

On the following pages you'll find complete procedures and music samples for this year's auditions.
